1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PiyAPI's services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our services.

2. Description of Service

PiyAPI provides AI memory and context management services, including but not limited to:

  • Memory storage and retrieval APIs
  • Document processing and embedding
  • Semantic search capabilities
  • HIPAA-compliant data handling (Enterprise plans)

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Ensuring your use complies with applicable laws
  • Not sharing account credentials with unauthorized parties

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use our services for illegal purposes
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits or security measures
  • Store content that violates third-party rights
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Resell or redistribute our services without authorization

5. Payment Terms

  • Fees are charged based on your selected plan
  • Payment is processed securely via Stripe
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled
  • Refunds are provided per our refund policy

6. Service Level Agreement

We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime for our API services. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance. Service credits may be issued for extended outages per our SLA terms (Enterprise plans only).

7. Data Ownership

You retain all rights to your data. By using our services, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely for providing the services. We do not claim ownership of your content.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PIYAPI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Upon termination:

  • Your access to the services will end
  • You may export your data for 30 days
  • Outstanding fees remain payable

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or dashboard notification at least 30 days before taking effect.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
